The Best Grilled Salmon
Note: You will need a cast iron skillet or an ovenproof pan that can move from stove top to the oven for this
recipe (or 2 separate pans ready to go) or a grill. This technique is so flavorful and easy to do; it’s my
favorite way to cook seafood. Alternatively, you can also bake your fish (or chicken) in the oven at 375.
Ingredients
- 1 large or 2 smaller pieces of wild salmon halibut or rockfish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400. Melt some olive oil in a cast iron skillet on medium-high heat. Let the pan warm up for
- 2- 3 minutes until it’s very hot. Sprinkle fish with sea salt and pepper. Place face down (salmon skin side up)
- and shake the pan briefly so the fish doesn’t stick.
- Let cook for 2 minutes. Flip fish, then place skillet in the oven for 6 minutes.
